I had a Vitamix for several years and sold it when I got another blender. Boy, was I sorry! I turned right around and bought another Vitamix after I discovered that nothing else makes such smooth smoothies, and great peanut butter, and instant bread crumbs, and super salsa, and homemade powdered sugar, and so much more! Although I'm not much at "cooking" in the Vitamix, the video shows how to make bread dough, soups, gravies, and more in the Vitamix's 64-oz container.

With my variable-speed Vitamix, I can dump in a can of pineapple, a whole banana, an apple cut in two, a few frozen strawberries, some ice cubes and yogurt or milk, and have a super-blended smoothie in seconds. No chunks, virtually no strawberry seeds (some pink flecks). Yummy! I tried four different top-of-the-line blenders and couldn't find anything comparable.
